A hacked outdoor plug-in weather protector holds the Parallax/Grand RFID reader as well as an externally visible RGB LED for status.  The components all fit nicely with just a few minor modifications to the weather guard; a piece of Cat 5 cable runs from this external bit to the interior control box.
